The Camp Awesome Program

Camp Awesome provides a full-day summer program that is active and engaging for children. The day camp program combines vacation bible school teachings, like stories, songs and crafts, with interactive games and theme day fun.

Camp Awesome has a program for every age group:
CA Camper – Ages 4 * – 12
CA Crew – Ages 12 – 13
LIT – Ages 14 – 15

* Campers must be at least 4 years of age at time of camp and should have completed at least one year (JK or equivalent) of school.

Summer Dates and Schedule

For Summer 2022 Camp Awesome will be offering a program the following weeks:

Week 1: July 11 – 15, 2022 – Closed
Week 2: July 18 – 22, 2022 – Closed
Week 3: July 25 – 29, 2022 – Closed
Week 4: August 2 – 5, 2022*
Week 5: August 8 – 12, 2022
– FULL

*Week 4 camp will run from Tuesday to Friday. There will be no camp on the Civic Holiday Monday.

Camp programming runs from 9:30 am – 3:30 pm each day. Extended care (no additional cost) is available from 8:30 – 9:30 am and 3:30 – 4:30 pm.

Camp Locations

Camp Awesome programming takes place throughout the City of Ottawa and surrounding towns and communities within the Eastern Ontario Outaouais Region. Our camp locations are provided by host United Churches. We share their space for our week of camp.

Camp Fees and Registration

Summer 2022 Camper Fees:
Full week program (Monday to Friday) $150.00 per camper
*Camp Awesome @ Home: Virtual Program $20.00 per camper or Pay-what-you-can.
All in person camp fees include daily snacks, program supplies, and extended care. Campers will need to bring their own nut-free bagged lunch and a water bottle each day.

Camp Awesome Bursary Fund
Donations to the Camp Awesome Bursary Fund support families to have equal access to our programs for all campers, regardless of household finances. If you require financial assistance, request the Camp Awesome Bursary during the registration process.

Registration Process
When registration is open for the summer a link will be available at the top of this page to complete your application online. Please note that this is an application to register for camp. Campers are not fully registered until the application has been reviewed and the confirmation package has been sent to the family.
Payment of camp fees can be made by credit card through the secure online payment system following the application being submitted. If you need to arrange an alternative form of payment, or are being sponsored by a church or organization, please indicate this on the application form.
Applications will close one week before the start of each camp session, to allow for final planning and ordering of supplies.

Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellation requests for in person programs can be made via email to the Camp Director at campawesomeottawa@gmail.com
Requests must be received five business days prior to the first day of camp, and will be refunded, less a $25.00 fee per child. Requests received later than five business days prior to the start of camp are not subject to any refund. Dismissal from camp due to camper behaviour or illness is not subject to a refund.
