Camper Experience and Inclusion Coordinator
Fun – Friendship – Faith
Not just our camp motto, but also what you can expect from working with Camp Awesome.
Camp Awesome is a place where youth and young adults find meaningful employment, valuable leadership skills and work experience, Christian community, and create life-long friendships.
Camp Awesome staff also gain skills through the week-long training program. Training includes behaviour management and communication, mental health, program delivery, safe spaces, emergency and health procedures, site orientation and team building activities.
Throughout the summer, camp staff travel with their team to provide engaging children’s programming at United Churches in rural and urban settings around the City of Ottawa.

Since the beginning, Camp Awesome has focused on providing youth and young adults experiences to grow and develop as leaders in an open and inclusive environment. Whether you’re an experienced leader, someone who’s just starting to grow and share their gifts, or somewhere in between, we want to journey along with you.
